Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, seeks an experienced Senior Construction Administrator to join our Arlington, VA team. You will manage project specifications, contract documents, and on-site construction oversight for Virginia, DC, and Maryland projects, with opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative, data-driven environment.

Responsibilities include handling shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and closeout documents, while mentoring staff on constructability and field observations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of design engineering or construction administration experience.
• Proficiency with Adobe/Bluebeam and MS Office.
• Experience with EDMS such as Newforma or Procore.
• Strong coordination with design teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure contract compliance with language and code requirements.
• Process construction administration documents: shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, pay applications, closeout documents.
• Review submittals and incorporate design comments.
• Prepare field observation reports and conduct onsite visits 2–3 days/week.
• Maintain electronic construction plan sets with the design team.
• Assist with project schedules and logs.
• Mentor design staff on constructability and field learnings.
• Coordinate completion of closeout documents.
