Job summary

UNCOVER is seeking a Hiring Conflicts Clearance Analyst to join its conflicts team in New York. The role focuses on conflicts checks for prospective lateral hires and requires hands-on experience with Intapp.

You will review search results, identify conflicts and risk areas, and liaise with Recruiting, Human Resources, risk and compliance, and legal teams to resolve issues. Complex matters are escalated to senior team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience working within a law firm, ideally in conflicts, risk and compliance, business acceptance, new business intake or a related function.
• Hands-on experience using Intapp is essential.
• Previous experience conducting conflicts checks or supporting conflicts clearance processes is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of rules and regulations governing conflicts of interest and issues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct conflicts of interest searches and clearance checks for prospective lateral hires, including partners, associates and other legal professionals.
• Review and analyse conflicts search results to identify potential conflicts, connections and risk areas.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, including recruiting, Human Resources, Risk & Compliance and legal teams, to obtain relevant information and resolve potential conflicts.
• Review candidate and firm information, including employment histories, client relationships and matter details, to support thorough conflicts assessments.
• Escalate complex or sensitive conflicts issues to senior team members for further review and resolution.
• Ensure all hiring-related conflicts procedures are completed in accordance with the firm's internal policies, professional obligations and risk management standards.
