Job summary

Perkins Coie LLP is seeking a qualified Conflicts Attorney to perform conflicts analysis on new business and lateral hires, advising firm lawyers on ethics issues. The attorney will independently review, research, and resolve conflicts, ensuring compliance with professional standards across jurisdictions and firm policy. U.S.

citizenship or permanent residency is required for export control compliance. The role requires strong knowledge of the Rules of Professional Conduct, excellent research

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate and 5+ years of practice; 2+ years as Conflicts Attorney or equivalent senior level conflict/ethics experience
• Active bar in good standing in any jurisdiction.
• Strong working knowledge of relevant topics, legal issues, and the rules governing professional responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Analyze conflicts of interest on new business and firm lateral hires.
• Draft waivers and advise on withdrawal and screening.
• Manage a large conflicts workload with minimal supervision.
• Provide training on conflicts issues.
• Lead small projects and coordinate workload coverage.
• Act as strategic legal advisor on complex conflicts of interest issues.
• Perform legal research and prepare memoranda for firm lawyers and committees.
• Negotiate between lawyers to resolve conflicts and waivers.
