Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst to lead software configuration management across VA-related projects. This remote role requires expertise in CM, release engineering, DevOps practices, and collaboration with developers, QA, and stakeholders.

You will architect build procedures, automate tooling, and guide junior analysts while ensuring compliant, reproducible deployments in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex software build and release processes in regulated or federal environments.
• Strong CM/DevOps fundamentals: identification, baselining, change control, status accounting.
• Proficiency with modern SCM tools and CI/CD pipelines; knowledge of multiple VCS and artifact repositories.

Responsibilities

• Support VA applications and migrate to the cloud.
• Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting and delivery of software and COTS products.
• Perform CM and release tasks to document and ensure compliant hardware configurations and sustainable deployment.
• Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools to improve modeling and development.
• Create and implement build procedures to support development and usage of software products.
• Develop standards for CM across the company and train developers in CM tools and quality practices.
• Provide guidance on complex problems and mentor junior analysts/engineers.
• Ensure repeatable build and deployment processes across projects.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders; manage multiple priorities.
