Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC seeks a Senior Configuration Analyst to support VA applications, lead cloud migration, and drive CM and release engineering across multiple environments. In this fully remote, U.S.-based role, you will design CM standards, implement build and deployment processes, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliant, repeatable software delivery.

U.S. Citizenship and a Public Trust clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex software builds and releases.
• Experience in large regulated or federal environments.
• Deep expertise in software configuration management and release engineering.
• Broad knowledge of development, QA, systems engineering, and DevOps.
• Experience with CM (identification, baselining, change control, status accounting).
• Experience with source control systems and branching strategies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and artifact repositories.
• Experience with scripting for automation.
• Experience managing COTS software and vendor patches.
• Experience with IaC and environment management.

Responsibilities

• Support VA applications and spearhead cloud migration.
• Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software products.
• Perform CM and release engineering tasks and document parameters.
• Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools to improve modeling and development.
• Design and implement build procedures to support product development.
• Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.
• Train developers in CM tools and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and solutions to complex problems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor junior analysts/engineers.
• Ensure compliant, repeatable build and deployment processes across projects.
