Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst to lead software configuration management and release engineering efforts. The role focuses on migrating VA applications to the cloud, building CM tooling, and ensuring repeatable, compliant deployment across projects.

You will train developers, collaborate with stakeholders, and guide junior analysts while supporting a 100% US-based remote work setup with a Public Trust security posture.

Qualifications

• CM tools and release engineering expertise required.
• Experience in regulated/federal environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of software configuration management practices (identification, baselining, change control).
• Ability to design and maintain CM processes and tooling across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Support VA applications and migrate to the cloud.
• Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control and delivery of software (COTS and in-house).
• Perform CM and release engineering tasks ensuring compliant build parameters.
• Develop automation and productivity tools to improve software modeling and development.
• Implement build procedures to support product development and use.
• Train developers on CM tools and quality standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor junior staff.
• Ensure repeatable build and deployment processes across projects.
