Job summary

Lake Lawn Resort in Wisconsin is seeking a Senior Conference Services Manager to lead planning, coordination, and execution of group events, conferences, and banquets, delivering exceptional guest experiences.

You will mentor staff, collaborate with Sales, Catering, and operations, manage high-profile events, prepare BEOs, and upsell enhancements while ensuring accuracy in Amadeus, Versa, and other systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in conference services, event management, or hotel/resort operations.
• Demonstrated experience managing group events, conferences, banquets, or other complex hospitality events.
• Prior leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience in conference services, food & beverage, banquet operations, or a related hospitality environment.
• Experience with systems such as Amadeus, Versa, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of group events from booking to completion.
• Serve as senior point of contact for group and conference clients, building relationships.
• Manage complex events, ensuring timelines and client expectations are met.
• Prepare and maintain Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), group resumes, and event timelines.
• Collaborate with Sales, Food & Beverage, Operations, Housekeeping, and other departments.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Conference Services team members.
• Assist with training, onboarding, and development of staff.
• Identify opportunities to upsell event enhancements and resort services.
• Maintain event information in Amadeus, Versa, and Sales & Catering systems.
• Communicate event requirements and changes to stakeholders.
• Monitor event progress and address challenges to ensure satisfaction.
• Build strong client, vendor, and internal partner relationships.
• Support department revenue goals through client engagement and service excellence.
• Assist with developing and improving procedures, workflows, and service standards.
• Help ensure compliance with resort policies and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
