Job summary

Hermeus seeks an experienced COMSEC Manager to establish and oversee a robust COMSEC program for classified aerospace projects. You will own the COMSEC account, manage cryptographic key material, CCI, and SKLs, and ensure compliance with DoD/NSA policies while collaborating with security, engineering, and program teams.

You will develop policies, SOPs, and training materials, support inspections, and drive corrective actions in a startup-like environment focused on rapid, secure defense aviation

Qualifications

• Hands-on COMSEC professional who can build compliant processes from the ground up.
• Experience managing COMSEC operations within DoD/aerospace/regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of DoD/NSA COMSEC policies and handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Establish, manage, and maintain the COMSEC account per DoD/NSA/program requirements.
• Manage lifecycle and accountability of COMSEC equipment, CCI, keying material, and SKLs.
• Develop and maintain COMSEC policies, SOPs, and training materials.
• Establish secure processes for receipt, storage, issue, transfer, and disposal of COMSEC material.
• Support classified communications and data link capabilities (Link 16 and keys).
• Partner with security, engineering, PM, and ops to integrate COMSEC into architectures.
• Prepare for inspections, audits, and reviews; drive corrective actions.
• Provide COMSEC training and guidance across milestones, testing, and deployments.
