Job summary

Hermeus is seeking an experienced COMSEC Manager to establish and oversee a robust COMSEC program for highly classified aerospace and defense work. You will own the COMSEC account, manage cryptographic equipment, keying materials, and CCI/SKLs, ensuring strict DoD/NSA compliance and secure handling.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, capable of building compliant processes from the ground up, and act as the organization’s subject-matter expert across security, engineering, and operations

Qualifications

• Experience in COMSEC operations within a DoD, aerospace, defense, intelligence, or similarly regulated environment.
• Strong working knowledge of DoD/NSA COMSEC policies and accountability requirements.
• Hands-on experience with cryptographic key management and SKLs.

Responsibilities

• Establish, manage, and maintain the organization’s COMSEC account per DoD/NSA requirements.
• Manage lifecycle of COMSEC equipment, CCI, and keying material; maintain records and documentation.
• Develop and maintain COMSEC policies, SOPs, and training materials.
• Support COMSEC inspections, audits, and government reviews; drive corrective actions.
• Provide COMSEC training and technical guidance across programs and operations.
