Job summary

Noblis MSD is seeking a Computer Engineer to support the US Navy out of Newport, RI. The role involves researching, designing, developing, and testing computer hardware and software to enable naval missions, while applying rigorous analysis and documentation practices.

You will contribute to system installation, testing, and troubleshooting, with emphasis on NAVWAR procedures and submarine/networked systems. US citizenship and DoD secret clearance or ability to obtain it are required.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science.
7+ years of professional experience in computer design, software development or computer networks.
US Citizenship with a DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain DoD Secret.
Experience using NAVWAR software related procedures on submarines, surface, or shore installations.
Experience in technical writing and documentation.
Experience using the NAVWAR System Operational Verification Test (SOVT) Preparation and Execution Guide (SPEG).
Experience in submarine software installations or installation of networked systems on Navy platforms.
Experience using the PEO C4I AI process in lab environments in support of submarines or surface ships.

Responsibilities

Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to design, develop, test, and evaluate software and systems.
Analyze users’ needs and design, construct, test, and maintain computer applications software or systems.
