Job summary
Noblis MSD in Newport, RI seeks a Computer Engineer to support the US Navy in research, development, testing, and integration of computer hardware and software for submarine and Navy platforms.
The role covers design, testing, and maintenance of software and systems, needs analysis, troubleshooting, and installation support in lab and field environments. US citizenship and DoD clearance eligibility are required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's level degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science.
- 3 years of professional experience in computer design, software development or computer networks.
- US Citizen with a DoD Secret clearance or able to obtain a DoD secret.
- Experience in submarine software installations or installation of networked systems on Navy platforms.
- Experience using the PEO C4I AI process in lab environments in support of submarines or surface ships.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and test computer hardware and software programs.
- Provide support for installation of computers and computer-related equipment.
- Apply the principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems.
- Analyze users’ needs and design, construct, test, and maintain computer applications software or systems including software for operating systems, network distribution, and compilers.
- Conduct troubleshooting and solve technical issues.
