Job summary

Noblis MSD seeks a Computer Engineer to support the US Navy out of Newport, RI, focusing on research, development, testing, and evaluation of computer hardware and software for Navy platforms. You will analyze user needs, design, implement, and maintain software and systems, and troubleshoot complex issues.

Applicants should have a Master’s degree in relevant engineering or math, 7+ years of experience, and a DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with CS concentration.
• 7+ years of professional experience in computer design, software development or computer networks.
• US Citizenship with DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Experience using NAVWAR software related procedures on submarines, surface, or shore installations.
• Experience in technical writing and documentation.
• Experience using NAVWAR SOVT Preparation and Execution Guide (SPEG).
• Experience in submarine software installations or installation of networked systems on Navy platforms.
• Experience using PEO C4I AI processes in lab environments for submarines or surface ships.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, and test computer hardware and software programs.
• Provide support for installation of computers and computer-related equipment.
• Apply CS, engineering, and mathematical analysis to design, develop, test, and evaluate software and systems.
• Analyze users’ needs and design, construct, test, and maintain software or systems including OS, network distribution, and compilers.
• Conduct troubleshooting and solve technical issues.
