Job summary

HGA seeks a Sr Computation Design Lead in Minneapolis, MN (or other listed locations) to drive computational design, digital innovation, and data‑driven practice across the firm. This role partners with design, engineering, and technology leaders to adopt cutting‑edge methods and scalable frameworks.

With 12+ years in computational design, you will guide strategy, mentor teams, and advance digital workflows, visualization, and storytelling to deliver design excellence and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in parametric and algorithmic design tools.
• Strong understanding of architectural design processes and project delivery.
• Experience leading design technology and innovation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and advance computational design strategies that enhance design quality, project performance, and digital delivery across HGA.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies, automation solutions, and data‑driven methodologies that support innovation and continuous improvement.
• Establish scalable computational design frameworks, standards, and best practices that promote consistency, efficiency, and design excellence.
• Partner with Digital Practice Group leadership to advance strategic initiatives and strengthen HGA's computational design capabilities.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate computational design methodologies throughout all phases of the design process.
• Lead the development of parametric models, generative design studies, automation solutions, and performance-driven workflows.
