Job summary

Vanderbilt University’s VICB seeks a skilled professional to lead compound management within the Core facility. You will manage tracking, registration, distribution, and collaborations with HTS software and instrument teams in a fast-paced research setting.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in chemistry/biology or related field and at least six years of relevant experience, with strong organizational and communication abilities to support high-throughput screening and data integrity.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or related scientific discipline is required.
• A minimum of six years of relevant professional experience in a research laboratory environment is required.
• Experience in compound management, laboratory instrumentation, sample or inventory management, high-throughput screening, or related operations is required.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with a focus on accuracy and traceability.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of compound management, including tracking, registration, and distribution with high efficiency and quality.
• Coordinate procurement of new compounds and library acquisitions, including registration, storage, and reformatting.
• Maintain records and SOPs for CM instrumentation and processes; service and calibration coordination.
• Process project requests using Agilent CrossLab iLab and Asana for management and billing.
• Provide training and supervise staff to ensure smooth core facility operations.
