Job summary

Deciphera, a biopharmaceutical company focused on cancer therapies, is seeking a Senior Specialist, Compound Management, to oversee receipt, registration, storage, tracking, preparation, and distribution of chemical and biological samples supporting drug discovery.

This role ensures sample integrity, inventory accuracy, and proper documentation while partnering across Research, IT, Facilities/EHS, CROs, and external collaborators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related science.
• 3+ years of experience in compound management, sample management, laboratory operations, CRO environments, or biotech/pharmaceutical work.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
• Hands-on experience with weighing, solution prep, aliquoting, inventory management, tracking, and documentation.
• Experience with scientific databases, LIMS, inventory platforms, or compound registration systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional partners.
• Commitment to laboratory safety, data integrity, accurate documentation, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Receive, register, store, track, prepare, and distribute chemical/biological samples for drug discovery.
• Ensure sample integrity, inventory accuracy, timely request fulfillment, and complete documentation.
• Collaborate with Chemistry, Biology, IT, Facilities/EHS, CROs, and external partners.
• Maintain compound management databases, inventory systems, and informatics workflows.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and SOPs.
• Support safe, compliant, and efficient laboratory operations with stakeholders.
