Job summary

Vanderbilt University’s VICB seeks an experienced professional to lead compound management operations within the core facility. You will oversee tracking, registration, distribution, and reformatting of compounds, and coordinate procurement, storage, and delivery for screening campaigns.

In collaboration with HTS staff, you will troubleshoot and maintain software-hardware integrations, supervise staff, and ensure rigorous data quality and inventory integrity across projects.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology or related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of six years in a research lab with compound management and related ops.
• Demonstrated experience with lab instrumentation and inventory management.
• Strong organizational and meticulous record-keeping abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of compound management: tracking, registration and distribution with accuracy and efficiency.
• Coordinate procurement, storage, and distribution of compounds and library acquisitions.
• Collaborate with HTS Software Engineer to integrate instruments and databases.
• Supervise staff and coordinate weekly compound management tasks.
• Maintain instrument usage records and SOPs, and calibrate CM instruments.
