Job summary

ST Engineering MRAS seeks a Lead Composites Manufacturing Process Engineer to drive the development and optimization of carbon fiber reinforced composite structures. You will own manufacturing processes from design to production, collaborating with leadership and shop floor teams to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 10+ years in manufacturing of composite structures.
• Proficiency in CATIA 3D modeling software.
• Access to export-controlled technology requiring U.S. Person status.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing and composites is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with engineering specifications, processes, and procedures for carbon fiber reinforced composites.
• Support development of detailed cost models and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Assist in capital purchases by preparing Statements of Work.
• Review and approve engineering drawings and specifications.
• Develop bonding and inspection tooling and work instructions.
• Lead process improvements to reduce labor hours and increase productivity.
• Support the introduction of new products into manufacturing including cost estimates and tooling concepts.
