Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a senior leader to develop and drive manufacturing strategy for composite structures. You will select materials, define layup methods, tooling, cure processes and inspection technologies, aiming to enable future high-rate production across aircraft platforms.

You will lead design collaboration to optimize manufacturability, drive PFMEA and statistical control, and mentor engineers in advanced composite processing techniques while ensuring quality and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with 14+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 12+ years.
• 10+ years of composite materials manufacturing experience in aerospace/high-performance structures.
• Experience with composite fabrication: hand layup, AFP, ATL, RTM, OOA curing, autoclave operations, NDI.

Responsibilities

• Develop the manufacturing process strategy and roadmap for composite structures, including material selection and cure processes.
• Lead end-to-end fabrication process development from concept to production with SPC.
• Establish and maintain manufacturing standards, specifications, and best practices for composite fabrication.
