Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Riverside, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Riverside Center of Excellence for composite bonding. You will support the production of advanced composites and metallic structures for commercial and military programs, focusing on stabilizing, sustaining, and improving processes on the shop floor.

This hands-on role requires applying engineering fundamentals to optimize fabrication, resolve issues, improve quality and reduce cost, working daily with operators,

Qualifications

• Interpreting engineering drawings and process specifications.
• Experience with MS Office and project management.
• Experience with continuous improvement tools (LEAN, Six Sigma).
• Ability to follow established procedures and adapt concepts to production.

Responsibilities

• Assist and train assemblers in composite fabrication operations.
• Create, maintain, and improve routings, BOMs, visual work instructions.
• Ensure processes comply with EHS, quality, and engineering specs.
• Investigate production issues using data analysis and RCA.
• Use data analytics and SPC to improve productivity and FPY.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, design engineering and suppliers.
