Job summary

Guided Search Partners seeks an experienced Senior Composite Design Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced composite structures for aerospace applications. The role focuses on creating lightweight, high-strength components while meeting customer specs and industry standards.

Responsibilities include design of aerospace components, 3D CAD modeling, laminate schedules, FEA validation, collaboration with manufacturing, and participation in PDR/CDR/MRB reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience designing composite structures in aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of carbon fiber, fiberglass, prepregs, resin systems.
• Experience with primary and secondary aircraft structures.
• Familiarity with FAA and aerospace standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop composite aerospace components and structural assemblies for various applications.
• Create 3D CAD models and manufacturing documentation using CATIA, NX, SolidWorks.
• Develop laminate schedules, ply books, and material specifications for composites.
• Perform structural design activities including weight optimization and manufacturability.
