Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union is seeking a Sr Designated Compliance Analyst to join Corporate Compliance in California. This exempt role reports to Manager - Lending Compliance Advisory Services and focuses on regulatory compliance across federal and state laws, with emphasis on consumer protection and privacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 7+ years in consumer protection regulatory compliance and related areas.
• 7+ years of consumer privacy and data protection laws and their application to credit union products, services, and information sharing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze federal and state regulations (e.g., Reg Z, Reg B, HMDA, ECOA, TILA, RESPA, TISA, Reg CC, Reg E).
• Provide 2LOD advisory on consumer privacy and data protection requirements (GLBA/Regulation P., FCRA, and CCPA/CPRA).
• Provide proactive compliance guidance to business units (1LOD) through ongoing advisory services, projects, marketing reviews, etc.
• Analyze new or amended regulations, communicate changes to 1LOD and provide 2LOD oversight through a Regulatory Development Process.
• Provide SME input in development of corporate compliance policies and align with 1LOD teams.
• Active participation in risk assessment campaigns as a SME, focusing on high-risk areas.
• Develop compliance training content to ensure understanding and adherence to applicable regulations.
• Review and address complex high-risk compliance-related complaints from members regarding products/services.
• Participate in preparation of compliance reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
• Understand core business activities, risks, and products to guide 1LOD and the Compliance Program.
• Collaborate with other compliance teams to ensure harmonized approaches.
• Assist regulators during exams, audits, and other regulatory interactions.
