Job summary

Truist is seeking a Compliance Risk professional in Virginia to oversee regulatory risk management for assigned business units. The role focuses on interpreting laws, communicating requirements, and guiding remediation efforts in collaboration with management.

Ideal candidates will have a background in banking compliance, leadership capabilities, and the ability to mentor junior staff while driving framework compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business-related field.
• 2 years of compliance-related experience.
• 5 years of financial institution experience.
• Working knowledge of standard compliance concepts, policies, and related laws.
• Detail orientation and strong analytical skills.
• Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills; ability to interact with all management levels.
• Leadership skills to mentor junior staff and analysts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of applicable laws and provide regulatory guidance to units.
• Review regulatory changes and assess impact on units.
• Manage compliance risk communications, training, documentation, and processes.
• Monitor regulatory developments in the industry.
• Implement risks framework, including quality assessments and performance data oversight.
• Assess process documentation for accuracy for audits and regulators.
• Consult with units on remediation design and implementation.
