Job summary

Truist is seeking an Audit Manager in Virginia to lead high-risk internal audit engagements and provide objective assurance. You will coach junior staff, allocate resources, and deliver quality reports aligned with the bank's risk framework.

You will apply strong analytical and advisory skills to identify root causes and craft practical solutions, supporting business partnerships and adherence to Truist standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field.
• Six to eight years of banking, auditing or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of banking and financial services and risk management.
• Excellent analytical, facilitation, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong project management and advisory capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engagement Manager of high risk and more complex audit engagements, planning scoping and developing the test plan.
• Allocate resources to complete assignments within budget.
• Set quality expectations based on Truist Audit Services standards and review process documentation.
• Develop meaningful audit reports aligned with risk appetite framework and present to stakeholders.
• Identify substantive issues beyond paperwork shortcomings and propose solutions.
• Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members through training and mentoring.
• Offer advisory services in implementing new systems, processes and changes to existing systems.
• Exercise independent judgment in risk-based assessments that are complex.
