Job summary

Experian is seeking an Expert Compliance Risk Advisor to guide our business through a complex regulatory landscape within the Financial Services and Data division. You will collaborate with Legal, Information Security and business teams to assess risks, support regulatory exams, and lead practical solutions that enhance control effectiveness.

You will report to the Compliance Director, provide support on regulatory requirements, perform gap assessments, and participate in exams as SME.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and three years' experience in regulatory risk and compliance/audit processes.
• Knowledge of federal and state privacy laws and regulations, including FCRA, FACTA, and GLBA preferably from a consumer reporting agency (CRA) perspective.
• Understand complex business issues, develop practical, resolving strategies.
• Comfortable working both independently and in team settings.
• Strong research, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills to effectively solve complex issues, while at the same time paying attention to detail, and the ability to ask the right questions and make connections.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to internal partners on regulatory compliance requirements and issues related to consumer credit services.
• Perform gap assessments of BU/functional area procedural documents against Global Policies to ensure adherence and address remediation actions.
• Work with various teams to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies including Legal, Information Security, and Governmental Affairs.
• Maintain understanding of business line operating processes, strategies, products, and services.
• Participate in exams as SME by collecting and analyzing exam data, documents, and information as requested.
• Assist Regulatory Exam Manager with ad hoc regulatory requests within SLAs.
• Contribute to preparation and presentation of materials for regulatory meetings.
