Job summary

Experian's Financial Services and Data (FSD) division is seeking an Expert Compliance Risk Advisor to guide the business through a complex regulatory landscape. You will report to the Compliance Director and collaborate with Legal, Information Security, and business teams to assess risks and drive practical control solutions.

The role requires supporting regulatory exams, performing gap assessments of procedural documents, and managing data requests within SLAs.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in regulatory risk and compliance/audit processes.
  • Knowledge of federal and state privacy laws (FCRA, FACTA, GLBA).
  • Understand complex business issues and develop practical resolving strategies.
  • Comfortable working both independently and in team settings.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to internal partners on regulatory compliance requirements and issues related to consumer credit services.
  • Perform gap assessments of BU/functional area procedures against Global Policies and track remediation.
  • Work with Legal, Information Security, and Governmental Affairs to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain understanding of business line processes, strategies, products, and services.
  • Participate in exams as Subject Matter Expert and collect/analyze data and documents.
  • Work with Regulatory Exam Manager on ad hoc regulatory requests within SLAs.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting materials for regulatory meetings.
  • Collaborate in a team environment and build productive relationships with customers and partners.

Join Experian's Financial Services and Data (FSD) division as an Expert Compliance Risk Advisor and help guide our business through a complex regulatory landscape. You will collaborate with Legal, Information Security, and business teams to assess compliance risks, support regulatory exams, and lead practical solutions that enhance control effectiveness.

You'll have the opportunity to:
  • Provide support to internal partners on regulatory compliance requirements and issues related to consumer credit services.
  • Perform gap assessments of BU/functional area procedural documents against Global Policies to ensure adherence and, if applicable, work with the business line on action plans designed to address control breakdowns and track remediation of regulatory issues and process improvements.
  • Work with a variety of teams to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, including Legal, Information Security, and Governmental Affairs.
  • Maintain understanding of business line operating processes, strategies, products, and services.
  • Participate in exams as the Subject Matter Expert by working with the appropriate BU in collecting and analyzing exam data, documents, and other requested documentation.
  • Work with the Regulatory Exam Manager in the delivery of ad hoc regulatory requests within specified service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Participate where needed in the preparation and presentation of materials for regulatory meetings (kick-off deck, quarterly update).
  • Work in a team environment, address conflict, and build productive relationships with customers, partners, and team members to achieve targeted results.
Experience and Skills

Your background:

  • 3+ years of experience in regulatory risk and compliance/audit processes.
  • Knowledge of federal and state privacy laws and regulations, including FCRA, FACTA, and GLBA, preferably from a consumer reporting agency (CRA) perspective.
  • Understand complex business issues and develop practical, resolving strategies.
  • Comfortable working both independently and in team settings.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education.
