MUST HAVE : 8+ years of experience executing monitoring and testing functions in a banking institution, regulatory agency, or major consulting company.

MUST HAVE : Strong strategic, judgment, and integrative thinking skills, with risk management and risk assessment knowledge.

Compliance-based professional certification preferred.

Summary

Sunflower Bank, N.A. is seeking a highly motivated individual for the full-time position of Senior Compliance Manager - Testing in Dallas, TX. Hybrid options available.

The role involves supporting the Bank's compliance management systems, developing and overseeing compliance monitoring & testing programs, and ensuring effective internal controls.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of compliance monitoring & testing concepts, risk-based test planning, process and control design, and experience with advanced technology and data analytics in compliance contexts.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Operations, and other teams to plan, design, and execute testing engagements.
• Develop validation and testing plans to evaluate risks and monitor compliance.
• Use visualization techniques for data analysis and reporting.
• Provide insights into compliance trends and issues.
• Identify emerging risks and communicate findings to leadership.
• Incorporate monitoring and testing results into risk assessments.
• Support other compliance initiatives and maintain effective communication channels.
• Demonstrate agility, ownership, and proactive results delivery.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and ethical standards.
• Participate in the Bank's Community Reinvestment Act program.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education / Experience

• Strong communication, facilitation, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Experience working with technical and non-technical teams.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, with ability to translate into testing scripts and policies.
• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or management (or international equivalent).
• 8+ years of experience in monitoring and testing within banking, regulatory, or consulting sectors, focusing on consumer compliance laws (e.g., Reg Z, Reg X, FCRA, etc.).
• Leadership experience in managing people and projects.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
• Professional compliance certification preferred.
