The role involves resolving claims, handling complaints against public agencies for policy compliance, and preparing cases for hearings or litigation.

Strong Excel skills and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload are essential.

Qualifications

• Four years experience doing administrative research including compiling and evaluating facts.
• Two of the four years must be above the technical support level.
• College-level coursework may substitute for experience up to three years.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration with one year of specified experience.

Responsabilités

• Investigate wage and hour statutes and prevailing wage rate laws to resolve claims or determine disposition.
• Investigate complaints against public agencies for failure to comply with least-cost policy.
• Devise investigative plans and collect evidence for final determination.
• Interpret and apply laws, rules, and policy to findings of fact.
• Prepare files for administrative hearings or DOJ litigation referrals.
• Research precedents to determine correct classifications and prevailing wage rates.
• Conduct on-site wage inspections and interview witnesses on multi-employer sites.
• Educate external stakeholders on regulatory issues related to wage laws.
