Job summary

Jonus Group seeks an experienced Senior Complex General Liability Claims Director to lead the investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of complex premises liability claims.

You will manage a high-volume caseload across jurisdictions, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with insureds, attorneys, and internal teams while staying current on regulatory requirements. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of general liability claims experience, with a focus on premises liability.
• Experience handling bodily injury, property damage, and legal liability issues.
• Multi-jurisdictional claims handling preferred.
• Strong investigative and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with claims systems and Microsoft Office.
• AIC or CPCU designations are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex premises liability claims across jurisdictions.
• Analyze coverage, liability, and damages to determine compensability.
• Communicate with insureds, claimants, attorneys, vendors, and internal teams.
• Review medical records, incident reports, contracts, and evidence to support decisions.
• Document claim activity and maintain proactive file strategy.
• Attend mediations and provide litigation management as needed.
• Stay current with jurisdictional laws and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and guide junior team members when appropriate.
