Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a Senior Complex Claims Technical Specialist to join our Omaha, NE office. This 100% in-office role reports to the SVP, Claims Legal and focuses on complex insurance disputes and major cases across the US, with daily on-site duties.

The ideal candidate has seven+ years handling complex coverage issues, a J.D., and strong negotiation and communication skills. Must be able to travel ~5% and work within a fast-paced claims environment.

Qualifications

• At least seven years’ experience handling insurance coverage issues and disputes.
• J.D. from an accredited law school required.
• Ability to manage complex claims with independent judgment and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate highly complex claims and coverage disputes with broad authority.
• Conduct detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation to resolve issues.
• Oversee defense panelists and monitor performance.
• Conduct file reviews, attend mediations and pre-trial calls as needed.
• Provide guidance on claim reserves and reporting to management.
