Job summary

Tokio Marine Management in Pasadena, CA seeks an experienced claims professional to handle litigated and complex liability claims with a client-focused approach. You will develop partnerships with insureds, brokers and internal teams to ensure efficient settlements and adherence to best practices.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• 10 years of liability claims experience.
• Extensive knowledge of general liability, product liability, and umbrella coverages.
• Knowledge of tort law and current case law.
• Negotiation and settlement experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle litigated or complicated liability claims with high exposure.
• Assist Supervisors and/or Assistant Manager in training and seminars on claims issues.
• Analyze coverage problems and propose policy language changes.
• Write Denial or Reservation of Rights letters when appropriate.
• Establish loss reserves and negotiate settlements.
• Conduct internal investigations including statements, reports and medical data.
• Attend meetings or appearances on assigned claims.
• Manage outside vendors and attorneys to control costs and delays.
