Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• Typically minimum ten years of relevant experience.
• Must obtain and maintain Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days, where applicable.
• Advanced negotiation experience.
• Professional designations (e.g. CPCU) encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Manage the most complex commercial claims with multi-year exposure, including coverage determinations and resolution strategies.
• Provide exceptional customer service and drive improvements in claim handling and cycle times.
• Verify coverage, establish reserves, and estimate claim valuation per policy language.
• Lead investigations to determine compensability and damages, coordinating with experts as needed.
• Develop and execute claim-resolution strategies, including settlements and complex litigation management.
• Manage significant claim budgets and coordinate resources for timely resolutions.
• Identify subrogation/salvage opportunities or potential fraud and refer to SIU resources.
• Present high-profile information to senior leadership and customers, including loss summaries and case law.
