Job summary

Atmos Energy Corporation seeks a senior Compensation leader to design, implement and administer enterprise-wide compensation programs, including base pay, merit, and incentives. You will guide job descriptions and lead salary benchmarking, ensuring governance and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with Senior Leadership and HR Business Partners, driving analyses, policy development, and industry best practices to align with market trends in a large utility environment.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, Accounting, Finance or related field and seven years experience in Compensation or related field; or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate, persuade and influence internal/external customers at a high level, including senior management.
• Requires the ability to perform complex analyses involving ratios, percentages and advanced statistical methods.
• Requires advanced knowledge of various software applications to create complex documents, reports and graphics; experience with benchmarking software and HRMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Manages design, development, implementation and administration of enterprise-wide compensation programs including base pay, merit increases and short-term incentives.
• Oversees year-end compensation processes with HRMS for Performance Reviews, Merit and Variable Pay Plan.
• Oversees development and administration of division and enterprise-wide job descriptions; guides salary survey participation and benchmark analysis.
• Identifies and implements job analysis, internal equity review, career path development, and structural design.
• Serves as subject matter expert to Senior Leadership on compensation matters; advises division HR Business Partners.
• Creates and implements compensation policies and ensures governance and compliance with guidelines.
• Keeps abreast of industry best practices and aligns with market as needed.
• Manages compliance with accounting, legal and regulatory requirements; contributes to rate case reviews.
• Builds and oversees functional area budgets and directs achievement of goals within company policies.
• Manages staffing levels; selects, trains, motivates and evaluates staff.
