Neuberger Berman in New York seeks an experienced compensation professional to provide advisory support, lead benchmarking, and shape job architecture with analytics-driven insights. You will partner with HR and Finance to drive annual compensation cycles and governance across the organization.

The role emphasizes design of programs, data visualization, and collaboration with People Analytics to inform decisions with actionable analysis.

Qualifications

• 7–15 years of progressive compensation experience, including advisory support to business leaders.
• Experience with compensation benchmarking and survey tools; McLagan preferred.
• Experience supporting or leading job architecture and job leveling efforts.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and communicate insights.
• Proficient in data visualization (Tableau/Power BI) to present insights.
• Ability to manage complex compensation cycles and timelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; discretion with sensitive information.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; programming (SQL, Python, R) preferred.
• Familiar with AI tools and agentic workflows; ability to assess AI outputs.
• Authorized to work in the posting location without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic compensation advisory support to HR partners and leaders.
• Design, implement, and maintain compensation programs and policies.
• Lead benchmarking activities and translate market data into recommendations.
• Support job architecture, leveling, and job documentation.
• Partner with People Analytics to define analytical needs and apply insights.
• Manage annual compensation cycle deliverables and budgeting support.
• Develop communications and change management materials for program updates.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses on compensation and workforce trends.
• Identify opportunities to build AI-powered tools to improve workflows.
