Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Compensation Manager to lead the design, administration, and continuous improvement of compensation programs. You will oversee market pricing, salary structures, job evaluations, and internal equity, while partnering with Total Rewards, Finance, HR, and operations to implement approved programs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in compensation, with healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible compensation experience.
• Healthcare compensation experience strongly preferred.
• CCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day management and administration of compensation programs, including base pay, salary structures, job evaluations, market adjustments, merit programs, and special pay practices.
• Leads market pricing and the Organizational Compensation Review, including competitive data, salary ranges, incumbent positioning, internal equity, pay compression, and recruitment considerations.
• Manages implementation of the compensation governance framework, including quarterly market reviews, data validation, financial modeling, and recommendations for the Compensation Committee.
• Maintains and evaluates pay grades, salary ranges, and related compensation practices; recommends adjustments to support equity and competitiveness.
• Develops cost projections for market adjustments, merit increases, salary structure changes, and special pay programs; provides analytics for labor expense management.
• Supervises and develops compensation staff and ensures accuracy, responsiveness, and accountability.
