Job summary

Connexion Systems & Engineering is seeking a Compensation Specialist in Bedford, MA for a 3+ year contract. The role blends compensation program design, market pricing, and job architecture to advance enterprise-wide compensation strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred)
• 8+ years of progressive compensation experience
• Strong expertise in: Compensation program design, Job architecture and job leveling, Salary structure design, Market pricing, Compensation analysis
• Experience leading complex compensation or total rewards projects
• Experience working across cross-functional teams
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Financial modeling, Data analysis
• Experience with major compensation survey platforms such as Radford/AON, Mercer, Pearl Meyer, or TSG
• Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement compensation programs, policies, and procedures
• Ensure compliance with federal and state compensation regulations
• Redesign and enhance job architecture, including: Job families, Career levels, Title governance, FLSA classifications
• Analyze salary grades and compensation band structures using market data
• Conduct market pricing and internal equity analyses
• Build financial models to evaluate compensation changes and transition strategies
• Develop compensation administration guidelines, manager toolkits, and supporting documentation
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to successfully execute compensation initiatives
• Present recommendations and analytical findings to HR leadership and executive teams
