General Description

The Senior Compensation & HR Analyst serves as both a strategic and operational partner in all aspects of compensation and total rewards. This role oversees and administers company-wide compensation programs while providing analytical and technical expertise to the HR department. The position ensures that compensation programs remain competitive, consistently administered, and compliant with all applicable regulations while aligning with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer compensation programs, including base salary structure management and incentive program development across business lines.
  • Conduct market studies, compensation benchmarking, and annual equity audits to ensure competitive and consistent pay practices.
  • Work closely with the Compensation Manager and HR team on projects involving analysis, budgeting, and compensation strategy.
  • Lead classification reviews and make job-level pay recommendations while applying job evaluation methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing compensation, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
  • Develop and maintain compensation models, pay structures, career ladders, and incentive plans to support organizational needs.
  • Provide consultation and training on compensation policies for HR and business unit leaders.
  • Collaborate with business leaders in designing and evolving incentive pay programs, processes, and administration.
  • Maintain strong industry networks to stay informed on best practices and emerging compensation trends.
  • Develop workflows and documentation for compensation-related processes, collaborating with Employee Relations, Recruiting, and HRIS teams.
  • Support the organization’s annual performance and compensation review process.
  • Participate in and leverage market surveys to ensure compensation programs remain competitive.
  • Drive continuous operational improvements within the compensation function.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (equivalent work experience may be considered).
  • Experience: Minimum of six years in compensation administration, with expertise in analyzing and reporting statistical data using HRIS systems or relational databases.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Familiarity with relational databases and data tables.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to evaluate complex problems, propose solutions, and exercise sound independent judgment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, particularly in presenting compensation strategies and handling confidential information.
