Job summary

CGS is seeking an experienced CommVault Data Protection Engineer to design, deploy, test, and support enterprise backup solutions for a large federal government environment. This role emphasizes resilience, security, and performance across WAN and multi-tier storage.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the Commvault data protection application.
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux, and SQL environments.
• Experience applying DISA STIGs to Commvault related systems.
• Ability to perform security tasks including patch management and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, integrate, and secure backup solutions for a large-scale federal environment.
• Create and maintain backup, restore and redundancy strategies across WAN.
• Troubleshoot complex backup/recovery issues spanning network, server, and application layers.
• Provide analytics, capacity planning, and reporting for backup infrastructure.
• Implement security updates and patches per federal requirements; collaborate with ops teams.
