Job summary

CGS is seeking an experienced CommVault Systems Engineer to design, implement, test, and support backup and data protection solutions for a large-scale federal government enterprise. The role spans deployment, troubleshooting, capacity planning, and ensuring security compliance across multi- platform environments.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of Commvault and related technologies, with experience in DISA STIGs, vulnerability management, and cross-team collaboration to maintain

Qualifications

• Possesses a strong knowledge of Commvault data protection application.
• Knowledge of other technologies a plus (LAN, WAN, Windows Servers, Linux, SQL).
• Experience with DISA STIGs and applying to Commvault related systems.
• Security tasks including documentation, vulnerability scan review, patch management, and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, integrate, and secure backup, recovery, and storage products over WAN in a multi-tier, multi-platform environment.
• Create and maintain optimal backup, restore, and redundancy solutions for critical data, and plan regular maintenance on the backup/recovery infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex backup and recovery problems across networking, application, servers, hardware, and appliances.
• Provide analytics, usage, capacity planning, and reporting within Commvault management/monitoring tools.
• Implement regular security updates and patches to backup servers and appliances per federal requirements.
• Collaborate with operations teams to support enterprise infrastructure processes and data replication requests.
