Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks an experienced CommVault Systems Engineer for data protection and backup in a large-scale federal government environment. You will design, implement, test, and support backup and recovery solutions across WAN-spread infrastructure, ensuring security and compliance.

The role requires deep CommVault knowledge, experience with Windows/Linux servers, and collaboration with operations teams to meet urgent data protection needs and reporting

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Commvault data protection.
• Experience with LAN/WAN, Windows Server, Linux, and SQL databases.
• Experience applying DISA STIGs and security tasks related to backups.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, implement, test, troubleshoot, deploy and support backup/recovery solutions.
• Provide analytics, capacity planning and reporting for backup infrastructure.
• Apply regular security updates and patches to backup servers and appliances.
• Collaborate with operations teams to support enterprise infrastructure processes for backup and data replication.
