Job summary

CGS is seeking an experienced CommVault Systems Engineer specializing in data protection and backup for a large-scale federal government environment. You will design, implement, and optimize backup and recovery solutions, ensuring security and continuous data availability across multi-tier platforms.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex backup issues, performing capacity planning, and providing analytics within the Commvault management suite.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Commvault data protection application.
• Experience with LAN/WAN, Windows Servers, Linux, and SQL databases.
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs and applying to Commvault systems.
• Ability to perform security tasks including patching and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, implement, test, and support backup and recovery solutions.
• Provide analytics, capacity planning and reporting for backup infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex backup issues across networking, servers, and storage.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure timely response to backup, restore, and replication requests.
• Apply regular security updates and patches per federal requirements.
• Support enterprise infrastructure processes and tooling for backup environments.
