Kickstarter is seeking an experienced Community Manager to join our Marketing team. This role sits at the heart of how Kickstarter shows up and is perceived across social, Reddit, Discord, review sites, forums, and the corners of the internet where creators and backers compare notes.

The ideal candidate will own Kickstarter’s community presence, monitor sentiment in real time, design escalation and response playbooks, and collaborate with cross‑functional partners to turn feedback into action.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in community management, social media, or reputation roles.
• Fluent in Reddit and Discord with deep community experience.
• Hands-on experience across major platforms (X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Threads).
• Experience monitoring sentiment on review sites and niche forums.
• Strong judgment under pressure; can advise senior leadership.
• Excellent writing; adaptable tone per platform.

Responsibilities

• Reputation Management and Monitoring across social, Reddit, Discord, and the broader web.
• Design and own escalation framework with cross‑functional partners.
• Build, own, and refine response playbooks for common scenarios.
• Define how to measure community sentiment and report trends to leadership.
