Job summary

Kickstarter PBC is seeking an experienced Community Manager to join our Marketing team. This role centers on shaping our presence across social channels, Reddit, Discord, and creator communities, listening to the community, and guiding responses with cross-functional partners.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in community-centric roles, deep familiarity with Reddit/Discord, and a proven ability to translate unstructured feedback into product, policy, and communication insights.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in community management, social media, reputation management, or a related role.
• Deep fluency in Reddit and Discord, and understanding of each community’s norms.
• Experience with major social platforms (X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Threads).
• Experience monitoring sentiment on review sites and niche forums.
• Ability to build dashboards or pull insights from large unstructured text.

Responsibilities

• Monitor brand mentions, sentiment, and emerging narratives in real time.
• Lead responses to reputational risk with cross-functional partners.
• Design escalation frameworks with Communications, Trust & Safety, Legal, and leadership.
• Develop response playbooks and post-incident reviews to improve them.
• Deliver regular sentiment and reputation reporting with actionable recommendations.
