Qualifications

• 4+ years in community management, social media, reputation management, or related role.
• Fluency in Reddit and Discord as a longstanding participant.
• Hands-on experience across major social platforms (X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Threads).
• Experience monitoring sentiment on review sites and forums.
• Strong judgment under pressure and ambiguity.
• Excellent writing; warm, plain-spoken, precise tone.
• Experience building cross-functional processes and partnering with executives.
• Familiarity with crowdfunding, creator economy, or maker communities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor brand mentions, sentiment, and emerging narratives in real time across diverse channels.
• Spot early reputational signals, assess severity, and lead responses with cross-functional teams.
• Design and own escalation framework with relevant stakeholders.
• Build, own, and refine response playbooks for common scenarios and post-incident reviews.
• Define measurement of sentiment and deliver regular senior stakeholder reports.
• Engage publicly as Kickstarter in conversations; guide tone and engagement.
• Support creators and backers by directing to resources and handing off to Support.
• Set engagement guidelines and coach teammates engaging on behalf of the company.
• Own a community feedback program and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Translate insights into product, policy, and marketing priorities.
