Job summary

Torch Technologies, Inc. seeks a Community Planner to lead installation planning initiatives at Eglin AFB, ensuring efficient land use, facility-space optimization, and infrastructure development for Air Force missions.

You will analyze land use, coordinate with engineering and environmental teams, and present high-level briefings to leadership while ensuring regulatory compliance and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship; Master’s in Urban/Community Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering, or related field with 10+ years experience.
• Or Bachelor’s degree with at least 18 years relevant experience (8 years substituted for Master’s).
• Must possess and maintain Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, review, and update of installation development plans, area development plans, and facility-space optimization strategies.
• Analyze land use, environmental impact, and infrastructure requirements to support mission execution.
• Coordinate with engineering, environmental, and operations teams to align community planning with goals.
• Prepare and present high-level reports, briefings, and recommendations to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with Air Force, DoD, and federal regulations governing installation planning and development.
• Facilitate community engagement activities, including public meetings and interagency coordination.
• Track planning metrics, milestones, and resource utilization.
• Mentor junior planners and contribute to professional development of the planning team.
