## Community Planner (PL)Apply: Eglin AFB, FL: Full time: Posted Yesterday: JR100884### **Key Responsibilities*** Lead the development, review, and update of installation development plans, area development plans, and facility-space optimization strategies.* Conduct advanced analysis of land use, environmental impact, and infrastructure requirements to support mission execution and long-range planning.* Coordinate with engineering, environmental, and operations teams to ensure alignment of community planning initiatives with organizational goals.* Prepare and present high-level reports, briefings, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.* Ensure compliance with Air Force, DoD, and federal regulations governing installation planning and development.* Facilitate community engagement activities, including public meetings, stakeholder consultations, and interagency coordination.* Track and report on planning metrics, project milestones, and resource utilization.* Provide input for environmental, safety, and occupational health plans as required.* Mentor junior planners and contribute to the professional development of the planning team. ### **Desired Skills & Qualifications*** Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.* Experience with GIS, AutoCAD, or other planning and mapping tools.* Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills.* Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and complex planning projects.* In-depth knowledge of Air Force and DoD planning standards is highly preferred. ### **Clearance and Education Requirements*** U.S. Citizen* Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.* Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Community Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering, or a related field **and** over 10 years of relevant experience; **OR*** Bachelor’s degree in a related field **and** at least 18 years of relevant experience (substituting 8 years for the Master’s); **OR*** 12 years of relevant experience (in lieu of a degree).
