Job summary

Equity LifeStyle Properties is seeking a Maintenance Manager for Big Pine Key, Florida. You will supervise maintenance staff, perform preventive maintenance, and oversee inspections of homes and common areas to meet company standards.

The role involves coordinating work orders, supporting budget planning for maintenance projects, and handling on-call emergencies while ensuring safety and quality across the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• 5+ years hands-on general maintenance experience (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.).
• Supervisory experience in a hotel or resort environment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee community operations including inspections, repairs and maintenance.
• Schedule and delegate work to maintenance staff; monitor timelines and quality.
• Perform preventive maintenance and record findings.
• Complete property inspections and manage budgetrelated decisions.
• Respond to on-call emergencies and ensure safety practices.
• Assist with capital improvement monitoring and resident event support.
