Job summary

M.c.-Dean,-Inc. is seeking a Telecom Technician 3 in Charleston, available for an on-site role with travel. A mandatory in-person hiring event at Embassy Suites by Hilton Charleston Airport Hotel & Convention Center is required for consideration.

You will install, inspect, test, and troubleshoot telecom cabling and equipment, lead a crew, and ensure quality and safety across projects, with potential 25% travel. A valid clearance and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years prior experience in commercial communications industry.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Read and understand plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Install, power up and connect fiber uplinks in telecom cabinets.
• Install and test ISP/OSP telecommunications systems including fiber, copper, and grounding.
• Survey, document, and sketch telecom infrastructure as needed.
• Lead and supervise a crew of technicians and apprentices.
• Produce weekly look ahead plans and manage materials.
