Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, Virginia is seeking an Advanced RF Electronics Engineer (Senior Project Leader – Payload Systems Engineer – RF) to shape investments in RF collection technologies. This on-site role requires a Master’s degree and extensive multi-disciplinary engineering experience in a government-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or another technical discipline.
• 12 years of experience in professional engineering/scientific roles including multi-disciplinary systems engineering or program management.
• Experience with signal processing, RF technologies or signals intelligence systems.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and peers.
• Willing to travel domestically ~5–10% if required.
• Active TS/SBI/SCI clearance with polygraph; U.S. citizenship required for clearance.

Responsibilities

• Investigate cutting edge RF technologies and mature them for implementation across national security systems.
• Integrate Aerospace expertise in prototyping, testing, and modeling to accelerate maturation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the enterprise to identify capabilities and transition paths.
• Report findings to senior government officials and support technology transition.
• Lead studies to analyze RF collection system designs and evaluate approaches.
