Brailsford & Dunlavey, Inc. is seeking a Senior Communications & Public Engagement Manager to lead strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and public outreach for a major Oakland K-12 bond program.

You will collaborate with district leadership, project managers, and community partners to advance transparency and meaningful public participation. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in strategic communications, strong writing and leadership skills, and a track record of managing complex

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading strategic communications and public engagement initiatives.
• Experience supporting public agencies, school districts, capital programs, or similar environments.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects and coordinating diverse stakeholder groups.
• Experience facilitating public meetings, outreach efforts, or community engagement programs.
• Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute strategic communications plans for Bond Measure projects and district initiatives.
• Lead communications across websites, newsletters, emails, presentations, reports, and videos.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities, including public meetings and town halls.
• Advise facilities leadership on communications strategy and engagement opportunities.
• Supervise and mentor Communications & Public Engagement staff assigned to the program.
