Job summary

PM2CM, Inc. seeks a Senior Communications Specialist to lead internal and external messaging for the BuildLACCD bond program, coordinating with the PMO, district staff, college teams, and the broader community.

You will inform, inspire, and build understanding through clear, thoughtful communications. You will craft newsletters, alerts, board reports, and presentations, support internship program outreach, and help ensure brand voice consistency across materials while supporting leadership

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience designing and executing communications strategies for diverse audiences.
• Strong writing demonstrated across newsletters, alerts, reports, and presentations.
• Experience organizing and leading large meetings with logistics
• Proficiency with communication tools and basic design tools to develop content.
• Ability to build internal culture and improve transparency in a large bond/capital-project program.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and adhere to policies.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex bond-program updates into clear, timely communications.
• Draft and distribute safety messaging content like Toolbox Talks and alerts.
• Collaborate with PMO and College Project Teams on district news and milestones.
• Create materials for staff meetings, dashboards, board reports, and newsletters.
• Support leadership with presentations, briefing papers, and talking points.
• Coordinate BuildLACCD Internship Program outreach and logistics.
• Assist community economic development outreach and vendor engagement.
• Review external materials for accuracy and brand voice.
• Support Communications Director with information requests.
